USSR Ltd use the Cosmic “TOP HAT” – Lateral sealing system to seal around defective connections to ensure that infiltration is excluded at the connection point to the main sewer, and provide a permanent structural repair

This is the first system in the industry to offer a permanent Lateral Sealing in relined pipelines or at isolated defective connections. The TOP HAT Rehabilitation System uses a polyester impregnated corrosion resistant fibreglass insert to reach 150mm into the lateral and creates a 50mm “brim” in the main pipe. The Epoxy component achieves excellent sealing on wet surfaces. The equipment is capable of sealing 100mm to 300mm laterals in 150mm to 600mm main pipes.

The unique fibreglass inserts fit all laterals irrespective if the angle of connection. It is delivered impregnated and protected in black foil. Installation is simple. The laminate is placed on the applicator, driven to the lateral / connection and inserted by air pressure. The laminate is cured by UV light.
