USSR Ltd. provide two types of chamber relining depending on the environment the chamber is in (i.e. chemical or not), and the reason for lining (i.e. structural, etc.). For structural relining USSR uses PERMACAST. This is an ultra-high strength, corrosion resistant motor based on micro silica and Portland cement MS – 10,000 and is specifically used for the rehabilitation of sewer structures. It is designed to provide waterproofing, sealing, structural enhancement and corrosion protection of existing manholes, pipe, wet wells and similar underground structures / chambers by the safe, quick and economical application of a uniform cementitious layer of high-quality mortar. Benefits of PERMACAST include:

  • Centrifugally applied to chamber
  • High density low sag mortar with silica reinforcing fibres
  • The mortar cures to 80% its ultimate flexural strength within 24 hours.
  • 70N compressive strength at 28 days
  • Fully encapsulated interior prevents erosion damage from ground water
  • More effective and less expensive than partial spot repairs
  • Flows maintained during procedure
  • No excavation or surface disruption
  • Quick application – with minimum impact on traffic/road users.
